A recent sermon that created a lot of good buzz in Colorado Springs. I had been wanting, for some time, to preach a sermon entitled Ain't I A Christian Too? (with a nod to Sojourner Truth). In it, I was encouraging my church to claim its Christian identity while resisting fundamentalist definitions. I quote "Shall the Fundamentalists Win?" by Harry Emerson Fosdick, a sermon he preached on May 21, 1922. I love the coincidence of the date of that sermon and the date this spring on which the world was supposed to have ended.
